  1. Thank you for your kind words Amy. The last few years have been a nightmare in so many families’ lives. Thinking they were bringing home a six month old baby and now, if they are lucky, will be bringing home a child at least three years old who may have been living in a horrible institutional setting and at best substandard care. The emotional and financial damage, to both parents and child, will take a long time to heal, if ever.

The Guatemala900 has worked nonstop to get these kids, who were grandfathered in to the old adoption law, home. Many of these families already have their kids home but have worked tirelessly to get the remaining kids home. I am so proud of this organization and what they have accomplished and continue to do. We will get these kids home.

The United States State Department has allowed this to happen and have done NOTHING to bring the kids home. When the kids do get home it will be because a a few individuals selflessly gave their time, money and compassion to make it happen. The Guatemalan government has worked hand in hand with the Guatemala900 to get the kids home. Shame on the US Department of State for turning their backs on the children of US citizens, many who had US visas to travel home to their families.

  2. Thank you for taking the time in keeping us all educated!

  3. Laura Linna

Thumbs up to Nancy Bailey. If our reps have done anything, they haven’t let us know about it yet, as far as we know. Correct me if I am wrong.

  4. It seems to me you are right. “They” do make it easy for us to be in the dark.
